Connect your Google Business Profile to any AI assistant

Free, and it takes about two minutes. Add this one address to your assistant, then sign in with the Google account that manages your profiles. You don't need your own Google API approval.

Claude

On claude.ai, the Claude desktop app or the Claude mobile app.

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it NeatListing and paste https://app.neatlisting.com/mcp as the URL.
  3. Click Connect. Sign in with Google on the NeatListing page, pick your locations and click Allow.

Connectors you add on claude.ai also show up in the desktop and mobile apps.

Claude Code

In your terminal. --scope user makes it available in every project.

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user neatlisting https://app.neatlisting.com/mcp
  1. Start Claude Code and run /mcp.
  2. Pick neatlisting and choose to authenticate. Your browser opens the NeatListing sign-in page.
  3. Sign in with Google, pick your locations and click Allow.

ChatGPT

On chatgpt.com or the ChatGPT desktop app. Custom apps need developer mode, which depends on your ChatGPT plan.

  1. Open Settings → Apps, go to Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Choose Create app, name it NeatListing, paste https://app.neatlisting.com/mcp and set authentication to OAuth.
  3. Sign in with Google on the NeatListing page, pick your locations and click Allow.
  4. In a new chat, turn NeatListing on from the tools menu.

OpenAI moves these menus from time to time. If you can't find developer mode, search ChatGPT's settings for "Developer mode".

Codex

The Codex CLI, IDE extension and app share the same settings.

codex mcp add neatlisting --url https://app.neatlisting.com/mcp
codex mcp login neatlisting
  1. The login command opens the NeatListing sign-in page in your browser.
  2. Sign in with Google, pick your locations and click Allow.
  3. Start a new Codex session so it loads the NeatListing tools.

Cursor

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, or under Settings → MCP.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "neatlisting": { "url": "https://app.neatlisting.com/mcp" }
  }
}
  1. Cursor shows NeatListing as needing sign-in. Click it to open the NeatListing page.
  2. Sign in with Google, pick your locations and click Allow.

Other assistants and your own agents

Anything that speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP) over HTTP.

  1. Point it at https://app.neatlisting.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP).
  2. If it supports MCP sign-in (OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration), it registers itself and opens the NeatListing page. No setup on your side.
  3. If it doesn't, sign in to NeatListing, create an API key under Advanced, and send it as Authorization: Bearer <key>.

Things to ask once you're connected

Plain language works. Your assistant sees only the locations you allowed.

  • "We're closing at 2 PM on Christmas Eve. Update every location and post a notice."
  • "Reply to this week's 4- and 5-star reviews. Show me drafts for anything lower."
  • "Post our October special on the downtown location with this photo."
  • "How many calls and direction requests did we get this month compared to last year?"
  • "Which searches showed our profile last month?"

Your business name, address, primary category and service area are locked. Website and phone changes wait for your approval, and every change can be undone from your dashboard.
